Alejandro Gutman
Founder - LAG Medical Inc.
Alejandro Gutman is the founder of LAG Medical Inc. and brings more than 40 years of experience in the optical, optometry, and ophthalmology industries.
In 1999, he founded MercoFrames, a company he successfully led for 25 years as CEO and President until its sale in 2024. During this period, he built strong commercial relationships across the United States, Central America, the Caribbean, and Latin America, working closely with clients, manufacturers, suppliers, and industry professionals.
His experience includes eyewear line development, representation of optical and ophthalmic equipment, leadership of sales teams, after-sales service, as well as import, distribution, and business operations management.
Alejandro is also an attorney and licensed optician with a specialty in contact lenses, a unique combination that allows him to bring technical knowledge and strategic business vision to the industry.
After a brief semi-retired period, Alejandro now leads a new chapter with LAG Medical Inc., focused on delivering reliable solutions, quality products, and long-term partnerships built on experience, integrity, and trust.
